SONU NIGAM

Sonu Nigam, born on 30 July 1973 in Faridabad, Haryana, moved to Mumbai as a child with his family to pursue a music career. He is considered one of the most versatile and technically gifted singers in the history of Indian music.

His voice has effortlessly traversed classical, semi-classical, pop, rock and filmi genres over a career spanning more than three decades. From the romantic pathos of Kal Ho Naa Ho to the energy of Suraj Hua Maddham to the spiritual depth of his ghazals, Sonu Nigam has no boundaries.

He has also hosted the iconic singing reality show Indian Idol and sung for multiple South Indian language films — making him one of India's few truly pan-national music personalities.
