Arijit Singh, born on 25 April 1987 in Jiaganj, West Bengal, is India's most streamed and arguably most beloved playback singer of the 2010s and 2020s. He moved to Mumbai after training in classical music and slowly built one of the most loyal fanbases in Indian music.

His voice — warm, soulful and perfectly suited for romantic ballads — became the defining sound of Bollywood for over a decade. Songs like Tum Hi Ho, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, Raabta and Kesariya have accumulated billions of streams globally.
