Golden Chimney offered a comfortable and enjoyable dining experience during our visit. The ambience inside the restaurant was quite good, especially after entering from the outside summer heat into the air-conditioned seating area. There happened to be an IPL match playing during the visit as well, which added a lively atmosphere without making the place feel too noisy or chaotic. For drinks, I ordered a fresh lime water, which was refreshing and suited the weather well. For starters, we ordered the Murgh Lasoni Tikka and Classic Chicken Chilly. Both dishes were enjoyable, though the Murgh Lasoni Tikka stood out more for its flavour and preparation. For the mains, we had the Butter Chicken, which was well prepared and satisfying. Service was good, seating was comfortable, and overall the restaurant provided a pleasant dine-in experience. All in all, a good restaurant option in the Opera House / Lamington Road area for a relaxed lunch or dinner with decent food and ambience.

You can truly taste Mumbai in the food — the spices, the freshness, and the variety all come together perfectly. Each bite felt thoughtfully prepared and full of character. What made our experience even more special was the staff. They are incredibly gentle, kind, and genuinely thoughtful. The hospitality here stands out. They pay attention to every detail and make sure you feel comfortable and taken care of. Whether it was helping us choose dishes or checking in to make sure everything was perfect, their service was warm and sincere. We were visiting Mumbai from outside the city for just four days, and we ended up eating at Golden Chimney four out of five days — that says everything. When you find a place that combines amazing food with outstanding hospitality, you naturally want to return. Every time we came back, the quality was consistent and impressive. The money we spent was absolutely worth it. The portion sizes, the flavor, the cleanliness, and the service all reflect great value for the price. It's rare to find a restaurant where both the food and the people leave such a lasting impression. If you're in Mumbai and want authentic, flavorful food with heartfelt hospitality, Golden Chimney is a must-visit. We will definitely return the next time we are in the city.
