SACHIN PILGAONKAR

Sachin Pilgaonkar, born on 17 August 1957 in Mumbai, is one of the most versatile and beloved personalities in Marathi entertainment. He began his career as a child actor in Bollywood in the 1960s and transitioned to become a towering figure in Marathi natak, cinema and television.

His Marathi plays are legendary — known for their wit, emotional depth and impeccable comic timing. He has also directed over 20 films and directed landmark Marathi productions that defined theatre in Maharashtra.

Married to actress Supriya Pilgaonkar and father to actress Shriya Pilgaonkar, the Pilgaonkars are one of Mumbai's most respected entertainment families across three generations.
