Samta Foundation an NGO based in Mumbai, India working in the areas of Healthcare, Education, Prisoner transformation & Community Development. A permanent team of over 175 staff work in the Tribal & Rural areas of Maharashtra & Madhya Pradesh. Primary focus area in Healthcare are Cataract Surgeries, Family Planning & Child Malnutrition. Education provides Computer Literacy, and Dress Designing & tailoring through partner Schools. The Foundation works with Maharashtra Prisons for Eye & Skin detection camps + provide complete treatment. It provides sanitary napkins to all prisons. Community development includes building waiting shelters at hospitals for poor. Highly subsidized accommodation & meals are provided to poor patients & relatives.
