A Heartfelt Thank You to TATF & Deepa As many of our friends know, 2023 didn’t end gently for us. It was a time filled with grief, long days, and sleepless nights. But in that silence, we realized we might need someone to help us through. Not something impulsive, not a rushed decision, just an unspoken understanding between the two of us that perhaps the love we had to give wasn’t meant to stop. And that’s when fate stepped in. While scrolling through Instagram one night, I came across The Anubis-Tiger Foundation. Something nudged me to send a message, just putting it out there that we were open to welcoming a pup in need of a home. I didn’t expect a reply so soon. But within a few hours, Deepa reached out - with a photo of an angel who, as it turned out, was waiting for us too. The moment we saw her, we just knew. She was ours. And we were hers. Despite everything, I never imagined it would all happen so quickly. But perhaps that’s because I hadn’t realized just how many people are out there giving up their pets, sometimes for heartbreaking reasons. It left me sad, confused, and questioning how anyone could let go of such love. But I’ll be honest - we’re also thankful. Because if that family hadn’t made their decision, we would’ve never met Aura. On 21st January 2024, we brought her home. We braced ourselves, thinking she might take time to adjust after a year with her previous family. But Aura had other plans. Within a day, she chose us - just as we had chosen her. She knew she was home. She changed everything. The energy, the silence, the air itself. And her name came so naturally: Aura. We went into this thinking we were rescuing her. But in truth, she rescued us. We are so grateful to have her in our lives. Thank you, Deepa, you who don’t just find homes for these beautiful souls, but make sure they find the right ones. She doesn’t hand them over to just anyone. She takes the time to check, to understand, and to ensure that the home is one filled with the love, care, and stability every animal deserves. Thank you, Anubis Foundation. And thank you to the angel above who showed us the way. ❤️
