Unfortunately, the staying experience at this hostel has been far from satisfactory. The food quality is below average, and the hostel uses sub-standard dairy products and ingredients for the students. However, when the owner’s family’s food is prepared, they use branded and high-quality products. What feels even more unfair is that the owner often takes food from the hostel kitchen for his own home and even sends it to his friends, while we, the paying students, are left with inferior meals. The hygiene in the hostel is another major issue. The place is not well-maintained, and the rooms are sometimes not mopped. As a result, cockroaches and lizards are common in the rooms. Many students fall sick frequently, but the owner shows little to no concern about this. Additionally, the staff aunts and night warden are often rude and unprofessional. They shout frequently, creating a stressful environment for the students. Only Sunita Aunty is kind and nice to students. Overall, I feel that the hostel management prioritises their own needs over the well-being of the students. I sincerely hope the owner takes feedback seriously and makes the necessary improvements for the health and comfort of everyone staying here.
