Mrs Vidya Harikrishna, is a highly accomplished Carnatic music teacher and her voice and command of the art is impeccable. She’s a great Guru to my two 6 year old boys and they are thriving under her tutelage. Highly highly recommended.

A teacher teaches music – the curriculum, the techniques, the methods and so on, but a Guru is the one who teaches how to approach music: how to understand it, how to internalize it and how to enjoy it. It is our good fortune that we were able to enroll our child in VACM run by Guru Smt. Vidya Harikrishna. Under her able guidance one can rest assured that the child's talent gets nurtured and supported in the right direction. Vidya madam extends her warmth and love to all the kids alike. It is a very individual attention that each child recieves from her. My child has grown really fond of madam. She enjoys her music classes and is always looking forward to be and learn from madam. There is adequate importance given to the wholesome growth and attitude of the child ,on the lines of promoting our rich cultural tradition. I think this is very essential for the overall growth of the musician in the child. Thanks for everything madam.

I always had a keen interest in learning vocal music but never could pursue it until recently. For the past 6 months I have been learning Carnatic vocals under the able guidance of Vidya Madam. She has the most melodious voice, a superbly strong foundation of concepts and an incredibly humble human being. As I don’t belong to south India, some pronunciations are difficult for me but Miss Vidya is both considerate and patient. As I enjoy this musical journey of mine, I do consider myself incredibly lucky to have found a teacher like her!

Its been less than a year since my daughter Ms. Vedhika Venkat started her classes with Miss. Vidya Hariharan. Though the classes are online, the imparting of knowledge to the kids has been great and miss takes very keen interest to get the basics right for the children. She is very thorough and teaches the nuances in the way the kids will understand. We have been fortunate and lucky to have her as our daughter’s guru for classical carnatic music. Thank you miss for all the effort you take.
