I had a very disappointing experience at Thunga Hospital. It felt like there was a lack of transparency in treatment and billing. There appeared to be unnecessary delays in discharge, which increased the overall cost. Trust me don't even think about this hospital, I cannot write the entire story but long story short think 1000 times before coming here.

5 Stars for Dr. Ushma Patel 1 Star for Hospital Management & TPA I recommend Dr. Ushma Patel. She has 25+ years of experience and it shows. She was incredibly kind, took the time to explain the entire laser ablation process for my Pilonidal Sinus, and even suggested cost-saving measures for my MRI (suggesting Cooper Hospital). If you are looking for a surgeon who actually listens and makes you feel at ease, she is the one. The Hospital (STH Thunga, Andheri) Experience While the medical care was fine, the operational side was a nightmare. Two major issues: The "Trimmer" Disaster: I was admitted a night early for "prepping." I specifically requested a trimmer for the surgery site to avoid cuts and infection. The staff told me the "only trimmer in the ICU was broken/charging." They used a manual medical razor, which took 2+ hours and left me with several cuts in a very sensitive area. Tip: Bring your own trimmer here. They are clearly not equipped with basic working gear. TPA & Insurance (The Raksha Plan Scam): I have a corporate MediBuddy plan with the "Raksha" benefit (express discharge). The hospital TPA completely ignored this. I was medically cleared to leave at 10 AM but wasn't allowed to step out until 4 PM. The coordination between the hospital TPA and the insurance team was non-existent. The Refund Grind: I had to pay a 20k advance deposit. Despite being a cashless claim, it took 3 weeks of constant follow-ups with their accounts team to get my own money back.

She immediately got into action when i mentioned i had missed collecting some of my previous reports and needed it since i was visiting my doctor. No unnecessary questions asked or made to feel i should have collected it before. She understood my situation, took my details and provided my reports immediately. Want to acknowledge her customer centicity and unconditional support.
