The hospital has a good reputation in the neighbourhood with a skilled and compassionate medical team. While patients' comfort is well taken care of, the arrangements for attendents of patients need to be looked into. I had to sleep in the reception area on the first floor, while my mom was admitted in the ICU and needed me to be close by. The tiny waiting area for attendents was already full, and taken by male attendents.what is the logic behind having only 6 couches for attendents with a 12 bed ICU?? One would imagine attendents of pts admitted in the ICU to be anxious, and wanting to be in close vicinity of the pts..what's the point of giving them a random couch in the reception area of the first floor to sleep on, when their pt is upstairs on the third floor in the ICU? Ofcourse..the gender equality shown here in terms of no special privileges or measures of safety for lady attendents is well noted..everyone is welcome to sleep next to any one..without any gender bias. No reserved/ demarcated spaces for women. As for me..I tried imy best to not get bothered by the reception area with lights on, cctvs capturing my movement as I tried to sit/ sleep awkwardly, dodging the water frm the split AC dripping on my back. Thanks to the kind receptionist for turning off the AC .. Why team SRV? Why this blind side to the bare minimum comfort of attendents of ICU pts? Can the management look into this pls?
