Really had a great fish buying experience. It was quick. You will get fresh river fishes and sea fishes. There are many stalls of vegetables and fruits as well. The market was clean and everything was fresh. If you are staying nearby Powai then its a great place to stock up vegetables and non-veg items from Powai market.

Hi everyone I would like to highlight the extremely disappointing and rude behavior I faced today at Bengali Fish Center, IIT Powai Market run by Jayanto When I asked for a Gondhoraj lemon, I was told it is provided only to “their customers.” On saying that I am also a customer, I was further told that it is given only to those who buy fish 4–5 times a week. This kind of discrimination is unacceptable. If there are rules, they should apply equally to all customers. The staff’s tone and attitude were disrespectful and dismissive. This issue is not about the price of the lemon, but about poor customer service and bad behavior. Customers are the reason any business runs, and such treatment reflects very poorly on the shop.
