Goh jia Ting - restaurant in bandra, had been on our list for a while, so after a show, we decided to finally give it a try. To be honest, walking into an almost empty restaurant was a little concerning. We were only the second occupied table, and the place remained virtually vacant throughout our visit. Still, we were extremely hungry and the overwhelmingly positive reviews online convinced us to stay and order. Unfortunately, things went downhill from there. One of the strangest parts of the evening was the service. At one point, a staff member stood directly in front of our table, watching us eat for an uncomfortably long time. It wasn’t attentive service—it felt intrusive and awkward. She only moved after we specifically requested her to. It genuinely made us uncomfortable, as though we were being monitored rather than hosted. When I requested disposable chopsticks, the staff said they had them but then handed me what looked like a stranded stirrers and then later confessed that they don’t have disposable chopstick, then why say yes at the first place. Super careless and unprofessional. The food was even worse. The prawn tempura roll tasted like it had been fried in old, stale oil. Instead of gyoza, we were served something that resembled chicken momos. The lobster roll was completely inedible and was left untouched after a few bites. The cocktail we ordered, made with star fruit, was equally disappointing. It was so bad that we replaced it with a simple whisky just to avoid any more unpleasant surprises. After struggling through the starters, we decided not to risk ordering anything else and left for another restaurant to have dinner. The entire experience felt like a complete waste of money. What started as a restaurant we were genuinely excited to try ended up being one of the most disappointing dining experiences we’ve had in Bandra. Between the awkward service, poor food quality, disappointing drinks, and overall lacklustre experience, we left wondering how the glowing reviews online could possibly reflect what we experienced. There are far too many great dining options in Bandra to spend your time and money here.

PLEASE DO NOT VISIT, would not recommend at all. We had a 10:00 PM reservation and were only seated at 11:00 PM after standing inside the restaurant for an hour in complete chaos. What’s the point of making a booking? There was absolutely no system to manage reservations or waiting guests — no clarity on who came first, no communication, just a crowded, irritated room full of people arguing. For a place that markets itself as “fancy,” the management was shockingly poor. Once seated, it didn’t get better. No water or napkins were served until halfway through our meal. We had to ask multiple times for something as basic as a spoon — which still never came. Service felt careless and disorganized throughout. We ordered black bean veggies but were served some butter garlic gravy that tasted purely of cornstarch — no salt, no flavor, completely inedible. By 11:30 PM we were so hungry and frustrated that we didn’t even bother asking for it to be changed, but it was honestly one of the worst dishes we’ve had. To top it off, we had to ask for the bill three times, and even then it took 20 minutes. Zero regard for guests’ time. Completely ruined our evening. When you’re paying premium prices at a so-called upscale restaurant, basic service, organization, and edible food should not be too much to expect. Would not recommend.
