Our experience with Alpha was shocking - a nightmare - very disappointing. We heard of Alpha Care Home in 2022. At that time it looked like the best place for our family member. But within 1 year we faced serious problems. Biggest issue is that Alpha does not have 24-hour caretakers. For a place with so many elderly & medically unfit people, this is unacceptable. All carehomes must have 24 hour help and monitoring. There is also no proper introduction between the residents. There is no separation of people based on their needs. People with mental health problems and those bed ridden are kept together with normal people. This is extremely unsafe. One night, our family member was locked out of his room until 2 a.m. His roommate, who had mental issues, did not allow him to enter. We told Amis Lopes, but no action was taken. Our complaint was conveniently ignored. Later, a much worse incident happened. Our family member was beaten. He was hit, pushed against a wall, and his face was swollen. His glasses and hearing aids were damaged. At that time, nobody was present to help. Amis Lopes was out of town, and there was no helper or caretaker. Unacceptable & a serious matter. Amis Lopes was liable for a police case & interrogation, due to his negligence and inadequate staff our family was injured. Such incidents are a crime in a care home. Alpha is an unclean and overcrowded care home with no 24-hour care staff. The owner is kind in the beginning during admission and payments, but later was completely disappointing and untrustworthy.

The environment is peaceful, clean, and full of warmth, which makes it a safe and happy place for elders. I really appreciate the efforts they put into making the residents feel comfortable and valued.”
