TL,DR: STALE SPOILT CAKE BEING SOLD HERE, PLEASE DON'T BUY. I usually buy from Merwan's or Iyengar's. However, around this time, I wanted a Blueberry cake which was unavailable at both the places. So my last resort was Cake of the Day. I previously had a bad experience here in 2021 when I had purchased a Black Forest cake but it had very less bread layer and too too much of icing to make the cake look big. Also the bread part was mostly chura (broken bread pieces), so every cut pastry would just disintegrate. But this time I thought maybe things might have changed and went ahead ahead with purchasing the Blueberry cake. After reaching home, we kept it on the table for around 30 mins and then cut the cake. When having it we were getting a hint that the cake had gone bad but due to the snacks and other savouries being had with it, we thought maybe it's due to the taste of the snacks. Later a small chunk remained and was kept in the fridge for later consumption. The next day when i took a bite from the cake I realised that the cake itself was BAD and SPOILT. We were fooled and were sold a STALE cake. I would have brought it back but I had already eaten most of it as it was a small chunk. Today when I saw the reviews I saw that many people had a similar experience and hence decided to share my story as well. So my dear people, DONT EVER BUY FROM CAKE OF THE DAY. THIS IS A GENUINE FIRST PERSON CUSTOMER REVIEW.
