I tried their Kala Khatta Gola, and I must say it was absolutely fantastic—full of flavor, tangy, and exactly the kind of taste you expect from a perfect gola. The ice was crushed well, the syrup was balanced, and overall it was very refreshing. The only downside is that it feels slightly overpriced, as one Kala Khatta Gola costs ₹50, which is higher than usual street gola rates. However, considering that 5 Gardens doesn’t have many food stalls or shops around, the pricing may be influenced by the location. The shop offers a good variety of flavours, not just in golas but also in milkshakes, mojitos, and other drinks. So whether you want something icy, creamy, or refreshing, there are multiple choices available. The stall is situated between the sandwich stall and the pani puri stall, making it easy to spot if you’re walking around 5 Gardens. Chotu’s Gola & Milkshake usually opens around 3 PM and stays open till approximately 9 PM, which works perfectly for evening strolls or casual meetups in the garden area. Overall, my experience was good—the gola was tasty, the flavors were strong, and it was perfect for the evening. If you’re in 5 Gardens, Wadala, and craving something refreshing, Chotu’s is definitely worth a try.
