A year ago, I came to know that I had a uterine fibroid. Initially it was quite small, but gradually it started increasing significantly, especially after my father’s demise. Over the next eight months, I consulted around 8–9 doctors. Most of them suggested that since I am 43 years old and there is a history of cancer in my family, I should undergo removal of my uterus and even sacrifice my ovaries. However, I strongly believed that my ovaries should be preserved, and I struggled for months trying to make the right decision. Finally, a friend suggested Dr. Imran Hamza Wala.
