Flute 24 Hrs had a mixed dining experience overall. The starters were quite good and flavourful. We ordered the Korean Style Chicken and Murgh Phoolzadi Kebab, both of which were enjoyable and well prepared. However, the mains was a disappointment. We ordered the Murg Angara, and it lacked proper flavour and tasted quite off compared to the strong start from the appetizers. I also felt the recommendation for the mains could have been better. Something unique about Flute in comparison to most other restaurants is that a 5% service fee is included and charged to the bill. This is interesting because tipping in India is optional as far as I am aware. This resulted in a modest increase in the bill of around ₹100 for the three dishes. However I would usually tip more but because the service fee was included it made little sense to top anything and felt somewhat redundant. The service was nice as per my expectation but this practice is one which I have encountered in few restaurants and certainly is not a norm and so is something to be aware about. The restaurant otherwise was good though but slightly priced on the premium side. I thought some items were inappropriately priced. One small roti at ₹88 (excluding any taxes) seemed like a rip off because it averaged 3-4 rotis on just one dish so felt a bit unusual seeing ₹300 on a side dish of a basic small roti. That said, the ambience was quite nice. The restaurant was air-conditioned, comfortable and relaxing, with an IPL match playing alongside mild instrumental music which made for a calm dining atmosphere. Overall, good starters and ambience, but inconsistent mains and somewhat inflated pricing.

The establishment is situated in close proximity to Grant Road Station, specifically on the first floor of the Krishna Palace Hotel. The ambiance is consistently positive, and it typically experiences high occupancy during weekends, attracting a respectable clientele. The cuisine is flavorful, though the portion size is limited to three individuals. The crispy lotus stem I ordered was quite palatable. The prawns peri peri, served as a starter, had a modest amount of gravy, and the spice level was customized to my preference. For the main course, I selected the Chef's Special Chicken Changezi and Birbal Paneer. Both dishes were well-balanced in flavor and not overly spicy. A wide selection of beverages is available. The menu also features a variety of continental dishes. The Dal Tadka is prepared with authentic flavors. Dessert options include a fresh and flavorful Lotus Biscoff Cheesecake. A significant advantage is the establishment's 24/7 operating hours. The pricing structure is also competitive.

I recently visited Flute Restaurant inside Krishna Palace Hotel at Grant Road for lunch along with a colleague, and the experience was delightful from start to finish. The ambience is classy yet comfortable, with a touch of elegance that makes it perfect for both business and casual outings. We started with Chicken Manchow Soup, Dynamite Prawns, and a refreshing Watermelon Salad, all of which set a great tone for the meal. The Mumbai Sunshine cocktail was vibrant and well-balanced. For the mains, we had Chicken Lehsuni, Bhatti Da Murg, and Cheese Garlic Naan – the Lehsuni Chicken was undoubtedly the star of the show with its bold, garlicky taste. Mutton Rogan Josh also stood out with its rich spicy and aromatic flavour. The Chicken Biryani that followed was aromatic and satisfying. Desserts were a highlight – the Butterscotch Ice Cream, Malai Kulfi, and the indulgent Pull Over Chocolate Cake were all top-notch, especially the chocolate cake, which was rich and gooey. The service was attentive and prompt, complementing the excellent food. Overall, Flute Restaurant offers a well-rounded dining experience with great food, good service, and a pleasant setting. Definitely worth a visit if you're around Grant Road.
