I was diagnosed with Prolapse some time back. My niece suggested the name of Gynecologist Dr. Shweta Shanbhag Nayak practicing at Dr. Alka Kumar’s – Srijan Maternity & Surgical Hospital, Mahim. Dr. Shweta is Soft spoken, ready to answer any queries, & highly skilled in her Profession. At the end of my stay at the hospital, she became like our family member. (Thank you Shweta) The Hospital is quite Spacious, clean & very well maintained. Food is excellent. Hygiene is maintained very strictly. Dr. Alka Kumar used to visit every day even though I was not her patient. All the support staff is very efficient & courteous, timely attending the patients (round the clock). My baby had two umbilical surgeries within six months.I fear that the umbilical cord is not cut properly and hence it could be one of the reason- my subconscious mind. I didn't had good experience as I thought it would be. One of the nurse since she wanted to slp ...she put my baby next to her and slept...thats not the correct professional way of a nurse to do so and I had allergies on the night but the nurse was getting irritated...Not blaming every nurse only few. Overall I feel not a good experience though for me not sure about others. Instead my first baby got delivered at raheja hospital and though it is costly but the care and treatment is very very good.

We had a very disappointing experience with the Dr Alka four years ago, she refused to do cerclage at the third month saying I don't belive in stitches and we were too naive to get a second opinion trusting her fully. 24th week of pregnancy my cervix was fully dilated and she insisted in getting admitted indefinitely without knowing the outcome. It was her negligence which led to us having a preterm baby at 30th week which could have been well avoided if she would have just done the cerclage on time. We went to her thinking that she is well experienced but it was completely opposite. It took me four years to come here and tell me story, hoping what we went through can be avoided if you read this.
