Found all the staff very rude. Just requested them to make a Jain toast and wipe the knife so that onion smell doesnโt come. Their senior came from inside and said very rudely brushed the topic and said we wonโt do all that. Smell will come and even onion piece will come ! Absolutely disgusted at their mockery of peopleโs faith. Appalling attitude. Wonโt ever visit again. The stall was empty too ! Not even busy that they didnโt have time to just wipe a knife. Also the prices are too high.

Had Jay sandwich for the first time today. Very overrated and average tasting sandwich. โน80/- was a bit much for the quality. I asked for a masala aloo toast and expected the traditional toasted sandwich. This was a grilled sandwich. The filling was also little for the price they charge. Request for extra veggies is obviously not taken into consideration. Iโve had far roadside better sandwiches.

Tried Jay Sandwich recently after hearing all the hype โ and honestly, I donโt get what the fuss is about. First off, the sandwich is extremely overrated. The aloo stuffing tastes just like samosa filling, and not in a good way. If I wanted a samosa, Iโd just buy one โ at least that would be cheaper and more satisfying. Speaking of price, the sandwich here is overpriced for the quality. I have no problem paying โน250โโน300 for a good sandwich (just look at Sandwizza โ far better sandwiches at a similar price point). But here? Not worth it at all. The biggest disappointment was the attitude of the owner โ an old man who was unnecessarily rude and arrogant, acting like heโs serving the best sandwich in Mumbai. Spoiler: heโs not. Try Chintan Sandwich in Colaba instead โ thatโs how you make a proper sandwich, especially when it comes to the chutney. Jay Sandwichโs version falls flat. Overall, itโs a pathetic experience โ both in terms of food and service. Stop overhyping this place. There are way better options out there.
An amazing place to try the quintessential Bombay sandwich....
An amazing place to try the quintessential Bombay sandwich. Tried the cheese masala toast and mini grilled sandwich. Both were tasty with the right balance of spice and the masala potato sabji. Having said this, you can find similar sandwiches at hundreds of shops spread across Mumbai. So there is nothing unique about this place. But if you do not want to search for other shops and looking for a definitive solution, this place will more than serve your purpose.
