Dr. Abhishek Nerurkar is an incredible orthopedic surgeon. Earlier in 2021 I had a ACL full tear of my right knee for which I was recommended Dr. Nerurkar by my family physician. So Dr. Nerurkar explained me the overall procedure of surgery and though it was lockdown period but the surgery went smoothly and it was a success. Post surgery Dr. Nerurkar explained me the time for recovery and physio therapy session which helped a lot. After recovering well I was able to run 10K Tata Mumbai Marathon 2023 edition, missed 2024 edition due to my father's demise in Jan 2024. But later I had completed TMM 2025 10K and this year also completed by first ever 21K TMM2026. But in April 2026, I was in an accident while walking and completely twisted my left knee. So I called Dr. Nerurkar he suggested me for MRI which shown a ACL, MCL tear and Miniscus repair. I underwent a complex knee surgery involving ACL, MCL, and meniscus repair, and the entire experience from consultation to post-op care was exceptional. Dr. Nerurkar took the time to clearly explain the procedure, manage my expectations for recovery, and answer all of my questions with patience and empathy. The surgery was a complete success. Post surgery I had completed 20 days now and recovering well. Hopefully trying to recover fully before Jan 2027.
