Santoshosam is known for its south Indian Food. It is 5mins walking from Marine Lines Station. they have multiple outlets in Mumbai. they have 7-8 tables which could allow 30-35 people seat. it is not that crowded. being famous for authentic food. we tried their Mini Benne Platter which had very mini 3 benne out of one was Garlic Roast another was Bangalore benne and Chettinad. the taste of garlic was better amongst all. later tried Idli Vada Dipped which had one each, served with sambhar and 2 chutney. Sambhar was amazing but the red tomato chutney was weirdly sour. in the last we had Onion Rava Dosa which was good and fulfilling. the quantity served is good based on prices they charge. their service is fast as well. but the authenticity of taste didn't meet my expectations.

Santosham - Satvik South Indian Restaurant near Marine...
Santosham - Satvik South Indian Restaurant near Marine Drive is a clean and comforting spot for authentic South Indian vegetarian food in South Mumbai. The restaurant keeps a simple, traditional feel without trying to be overly fancy, and the food is the main highlight. Located in Marine Lines, itโs convenient after a walk along Marine Drive or nearby sightseeing. Service is quick, portions are satisfying, and the overall experience feels homely and consistent without being overpriced. One amazing thing is they serve meals and rice items throughout the day even at night.

Had the perfect South Indian meal at Santosham after enjoying the beautiful view of Marine Drive. We ordered the ghee masala dosa and ghee garlic masala dosa โ both were absolutely delicious, crispy, flavorful, and perfectly made. The filter coffee was strong yet really smooth and comforting, just the way it should be Simple food, great taste, and such a satisfying experience overall. Would definitely love to visit again!

This was my third visit to Santosham, and it continues to be a great spot for comforting, authentic South Indian food! If you are looking for a complete traditional experience, their unlimited South Indian Thali is a must-try at least once. Itโs a beautifully simple, home-style meal that tastes amazing. The thali comes fully loaded with a variety of authentic itemsโhot puris, steamed rice, flavorful and piping hot Sambar, a wonderfully tangy Rasam, and traditional sabjis like a dry Beans and Carrot Poriyal and a comforting Cabbage Kootu. They round it out with crisp appalams, fresh curd, pickle, and a sweet Payasam to finish it off. Just a quick heads-up: they have different pricing for the unlimited thali on weekdays versus weekends. While the thali is fantastic and incredibly generous, it is quite a heavy meal. Personally, since we lean more toward classic South Indian snacks rather than massive authentic meals, the thali is a 'try it once for the experience' item for us. If you aren't super hungry or just prefer lighter fare, absolutely go for their Idli and Dosa options instead. They are perfectly prepared and hit the spot every time. I also have to give a massive shoutout to their Dal Wadaโit is incredibly crispy on the outside, perfectly spiced, and just flat-out delicious. Staff is very helpful, one of the staff saw I m not adding Green chutney on rice, he came and suggested to use green chutney over the rice and it really tasted so good ๐ Overall verdict: Come hungry for the grand unlimited thali at least once, but you'll find yourself coming back regularly for the stellar dosas, idlis, and that amazing dal wada!
