I was diagnosed with fibroids in 2017 and monitored them regularly. By 2025, my condition worsened with severe bleeding and my hemoglobin dropped to 6. Most doctors in Kolkata advised hysterectomy, but I was hesitant. On a recommend I scheduled an online consultation under Dr. Ranjana Dhanu and after carefully reviewing my reports, she recommended a myomectomy instead of a hysterectomy. Her approach immediately gave me hope and confidence.I traveled to Mumbai and underwent surgery at PD Hinduja Hospital under her care. I soon traveled from Kolkata to Mumbai and was admitted to PD Hinduja Hospital under her care. From the very beginning, Dr. Dhanu was incredibly kind, humble, and approachable. There are multiple cases of medical negligence against her- you can Google if you do not believe me. There are lots of media articles on this, and her justifications for the same are also appalling. She has made all sorts of excuses for her own mistakes. I believe one of the patients wanted to sue her as well. I went to her for many years, and I finally stopped. Over the years, I've always found her very money-minded and there is something about her manner that makes me feel very manipulated. She sweet talks you and makes you think she cares on the surface, but the truth is she does not. It's like every single time you visit her, she wants to extract something out of you. I ignored it for many years, but finally changed after a couple of really bad experiences: - I had a smear done, and she did not inform me about anything in advance. She just went straight in and I was really terrified and screamed. It was extremely disrespectful and the whole thing was a very big ordeal for me, one that traumatised me for a long time. I do not want to go into the complete details online, but trust me this is not how it should be handled. - she advised a surgery for absolutely no reason but other gynaecologists told me that it was not needed. They put me on medication that completely healed me without me having to do any surgeries. It seems like she just wants to make money at the cost of the patient, to roam around in her precious BMW.

That experience left us deeply traumatized and physically unwell for over a year. When we conceived again, we came under the care of Dr. Dhanu, and everything changed. She not only guided us through a high-risk pregnancy with unparalleled medical expertise but also healed the emotional scars left by our earlier experience.
