In March this year, I purchased a Kent RO purifier from Maa Enterprises — a vendor that was claimed to be an official KENT distributor. My intention was simple: to ensure safe drinking water for my family. What followed, however, was a series of frustrating experiences that I now feel compelled to share. I was referred to Rushikesh, who claimed to be associated with Kent. He wasn’t. I later discovered he was masquerading as a company representative. He collected the money, routed the order to maa enterprises. The shop’s owner, Biplap, assured next day delivery. However he cannot make it work - the water flow was inconsistent, strange mechanical noises came and went - what he sold as new machine never functioned. When I tried reaching out both Rushikesh and Biplap for help, but they went completely unresponsive — calls unanswered, messages read and ignored. I later came to know that many customers in Mumbai have faced similar issues with these same individuals — stories of them selling tampered kent products and zero support. The screenshots, conversations, and complaints all pointed to a disturbing pattern. Eventually, a verified service technician from KENT visited my home to inspect the unit. His assessment was shocking — he confirmed that the RO system had been tampered with. The external filters appeared to have been either used or fake - may be repacked in a kent wrapper, and some components inside the unit were not original. As per the technician, this tampering was not incidental — it looked like deliberate action carried out by whoever had handled the unit before delivery. At that point, I was left wondering if what I had even bought was a genuine Kent product at all. I sincerely advise future buyers to: Avoid maa enterprises, never deal with these people - their operations are dubious. Only purchase appliances from verified, authorized dealers…. it may cost a bit more, but at least you won’t be cheated. I am not someone who usually writes reviews. Like most Mumbaikars, I tend to let things slide over a cup of chai. But this isn’t just a bad customer experience — it’s a warning I wish someone had written before I walked into it.
