I recently visited Escapeverse and chose the "Murder on Eclipse Express" room. Based on the marketing and hype around their use of advanced technology and sensors, I had high expectations. Unfortunately, the experience did not justify the price we paid. While the room does use a few sensors and automated mechanisms to unlock doors, the technology itself is quite limited and does not significantly enhance the gameplay. The "latest technology" claim feels exaggerated compared to what is actually offered inside the room. The biggest disappointment was the storyline. As a murder mystery-themed escape room, I expected a logical and engaging investigation. Instead, many of the conclusions required players to make unrealistic assumptions, and the story progression often felt disconnected from the clues provided. Rather than rewarding logical thinking, several puzzles seemed to rely on guesswork. A good escape room should make players feel like detectives solving a mystery, but that feeling was largely missing here. The room theme was "Murder on Eclipse Express," yet there was very little that made us feel like we were actually on a train. The ambience, setup, and overall immersion did not effectively support the theme. The train environment felt underdeveloped, which made it harder to connect with the story. Another point worth mentioning is the room size. The space is quite limited and is best suited for 2โ3 participants. Larger groups may find it cramped, with some members having little to do during certain parts of the game. The overall condition of the premises was also disappointing. If you visit, I would recommend using the lift instead of the stairs, as the staircase were dirty and lighting was not there during our visit. Additionally, there were ants outside the room entrance, and some even got into my shoes, causing discomfort after leaving from venue. Basic cleanliness and hygiene around the venue should be maintained more carefully though inside cleanliness was good. Finally, I was surprised by the handling of the payment receipt. After making payment, I requested a receipt but was initially told it could not be provided. It was only shared the following day via WhatsApp. A receipt should ideally be issued immediately upon payment. Overall, I found Escapeverse to be significantly overhyped. The technology, storyline, immersion, venue maintenance, and customer service did not meet expectations for the amount charged. There is definitely room for improvement, particularly in creating a more logical story, enhancing the thematic experience, maintaining better hygiene, and providing a smoother customer experience.

โThe Basement at EscapeVerse wasnโt just an escape roomโit felt like stepping into a thriller movie where we were the main characters.โ From the moment the door closed behind us, the atmosphere was intense. The lighting, sound effects, hidden clues, and unexpected twists kept our hearts racing throughout the game. Every puzzle felt cleverly designed, challenging enough to make us think, but satisfying when solved. If youโre looking for an experience that combines suspense, excitement, and brilliant puzzle-solving, The Basement is an absolute must-try.

Overall, it was a memorable experience and weโre already excited to come back and try their other rooms.
