Bad Rental experience! I would like to share a disappointing rental experience related to a property in IC Colony and caution others against availing rental services from Homelife Realty and Ronita Realty. In my recent experience, the landlord took over 4–5 months to return the security deposit after vacating the flat. Despite repeated follow-ups, Mr. Vishal Jadhav and Mr. Robert Gonsalves from the above-mentioned agencies failed to take any effective action or apply adequate pressure on the landlord to ensure a timely refund. Throughout our stay, we were responsible and cooperative tenants. Rent payments were always made on time, and before vacating, we ensured that the flat was painted and repaired at our own expense. The keys were handed over two days prior to the official lease end date. Despite this, the landlord imposed unreasonable deductions without providing any valid justification or supporting proof. Additionally, during our tenancy, we complied with the landlord’s request not to drill holes, which meant we had to manage without installing air conditioners. The overall quality of fittings and fixtures in the flat was substandard, resulting in frequent repairs—most of which we had to pay for out of our own pocket on an almost monthly basis. This experience was mentally exhausting and financially unfair. Unfortunately, the lack of accountability and support from the involved rental agencies only worsened the situation. I strongly advise prospective tenants to exercise caution while dealing with these agencies and the associated landlords.
