Shanti Daan, run by the Missionaries of Charity in Borivali, is a truly inspiring place that reflects the purest form of love, compassion, and selfless service. Founded with the vision and values of Mother Teresa, this center is dedicated to caring for the elderly, the destitute, the differently-abled, and those who have been abandoned or have nowhere else to go. The environment inside Shanti Daan is peaceful and deeply moving. The brothers and volunteers work tirelessly with incredible humility and devotion, offering care and dignity to every individual, regardless of their background or condition. What stands out the most is the atmosphere of unconditional love and acceptanceโitโs a place where everyone is treated with respect and kindness. The facilities are simple, yet maintained with great cleanliness and discipline. Despite limited resources, the residents are well looked after, and thereโs a genuine sense of family and togetherness. Every visit here is humbling and reminds you of the importance of gratitude, service, and humanity. Shanti Daan is not just a shelterโit is a sanctuary of hope and love. I have deep respect for the work being done here and would encourage more people to support, visit, or volunteer if they get the opportunity. Truly a blessed place
