Extremely disappointing and frustrating experience at Vijay Sales Ghatkopar (Shreyas Cinema branch) today. I visited the store to purchase an air conditioner using paper finance. At the time of billing I was informed that the ground floor billing counter was closed and I had to go to the first-floor billing desk. Surprisingly, only one staff member was handling billing while customers were already waiting in the queue. Because of the slow system, billing was taking around 20 minutes per customer, which is unacceptable for a large retail store. I waited for nearly 30 minutes just to reach the counter. The shocking part came when my turn finally arrived. After making me wait for half an hour, the staff suddenly informed me that the AC model I wanted to buy was not showing in stock in their system. When I asked how this could happen after wasting so much of my time, the response I received was extremely unprofessional. The staff casually blamed the “system” and even laughed while saying it. I fail to understand why customers should suffer and waste their valuable time because your internal system is not updated. When I asked to speak with the manager, I was first told that the manager was downstairs. Later the staff tried calling the manager (Raees), but he did not answer the phone. I was then sent to another desk where a finance person started asking about payment instead of addressing the issue. Finally when the manager came and I explained the entire situation, the response was again the same — “system me update nahi hai.” If your system is not updated, why make customers stand in line for almost an hour just to discover that the product is not available? What is even more shocking is that the entire process took nearly 1 hour, and in the end nothing was resolved. This clearly shows poor management, lack of coordination, slow billing process, and extremely unprofessional customer handling. For a brand that claims to be one of the biggest electronics retailers, this kind of service is completely unacceptable. Very disappointing experience and a complete waste of time.
