I came to Mumbai from Germany to learn Bhangra and Bollywood dancing. I always struggled with dancing back home, however since dancing is an important part of Indian culture I wanted to learn more about it. I went to Shashi Singh Dance Academy where I found great support from Shashi Singh and with Rohan and Khushi two amazing teachers who taught me a lot and whose skills and patience I admire. So far I have been five months at this school and if I compare my current dance skills with the ones I had when I started here I can see great improvements. These improvements allowed me to have unforgettable experiences outside of the school too. For example, I was invited by a family to dance Bhangra for them. I‘m excited to see what I‘ll be learning next at Shashi Singh Dance Academy!

I’ve been part of this dance class for 2 years now, and it’s honestly been such a special experience. I’ve learned so much, not just about dance, but also about confidence, and having fun while moving. The teachers ( Shashi sir ,Rohan and Khushi)are amazing—always supportive, patient, and encouraging—and the vibe in class is so positive. It really feels like a little dance family, and I’m so grateful for all the growth, memories, and friendships I’ve gained here.I'm excited to keep learning and growing in the years to come. Thank you Shashi sir for supporting me when I was doubting myself. I remember when after one class I told you "Sir it's not my cup of tea .. see my age . I won't be able to do .. that time you encouraged me by giving so many examples ..n saying age is just a number" Had never imagined myself doing Hip Hop steps at the age of 54.
