The worst experiences during a medical emergency. The doctor lacked basic empathy and communication skills, came across as extremely money-minded, and behaved very rudely. Quoting treatment costs in front of senior citizen patient during such a critical situation was highly insensitive and could seriously affect the patient psychologically. Doctors like these should not even consider themselves to be a doctor. Despite the patient having both an Ayushman card and a senior citizen card, the hospital staff rudely refused to consider them and insisted on regular payment. I understand that doctors work under immense pressure and carry great responsibility, but that does not justify rude behaviour or pressurising the patient’s family during emergencies. Hospitals and medical professionals should be better trained in soft skills and compassionate handling of emergency situations. I would never recommend this Sanjivani hospital for treatment. Honestly, government hospitals seem far more considerate and reliable than these so-called trustee hospitals.
