My uncle, aged 87, suffers from heart disease as well as various other ailments ( comorbidities ). On the morning of Friday, March 13th, shortly after finishing his bath, he suddenly became unresponsive. He stopped speaking, ceased responding to stimuli, refused to eat or drink, and passed urine and stool right in his bed. He had lost control over his body movements. Consequently, it became virtually impossible for us to take him to our local family doctor. As a last resort, I searched the internet for a doctor who makes home visits and found the contact number for Dr. Mayur, whom I then called. Remarkably, he made an immediate home visit and examined my uncle. Based on his assessment, he determined that my uncle was exhibiting symptoms related to a brain-related issue; he advised that providing care at home would not be appropriate and, given the sudden onset of the condition, immediate hospitalization was in my uncle's best interest to prevent further complications. Accordingly, we admitted him to Siddhivinayak Hospital in Prabhadevi. Dr. Mayur connected us with an excellent physician, Dr. Hegde. Late that night, Dr. Hegde arrived at the hospital, examined my uncle, and initiated the necessary medical treatment. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to both Dr. Mayur Naik and Dr. Baburaj Hegde; their guidance and treatment protocols proved invaluable, enabling my uncle to make a complete recovery within just 24 hours—he began walking, speaking, and eating independently again. Furthermore, within 48 hours, he was restored to a normal state and discharged to return home. For us, this was a truly astonishing and unique experience. This is because, despite having visited numerous doctors and hospitals with my uncle on many previous occasions, we had never encountered such a remarkable outcome before. Once again, I express my deepest gratitude to both Dr. Mayur & Dr. Hegde.
