Bono icecream used to be genuinely good when it started. The quality has fallen and how. I tried a "Bono bar" and I'm really questioning the ingredients listed on the package. After about 2 bites I had to throw the bar into the trash, it was that bad. They claim they use Belgian chocolate in the ice cream and the shell. I would be interested to know what Belgian chocolate they are using, the shell tastes like they use cheap chocolate compound. How does this fancy boutique icecream taste WORSE than a Magnum bar?! Someone should do a lab test and verify their "honest ingredients" claim... When I read the packaging to check the ingredients, I also noticed that it clearly says manufactured by Caro Rocher Pvt Ltd and MARKETED by Blue Cheese Boutique Ice Cream Pvt Limited. The Chesson sisters (aka Blue Cheese and the founders of Bono icecream) no longer manufacture their own ice cream, but merely market it. This probably explains the drop in quality. Sad to see what was genuinely once a good homegrown brand go the same way as Theobroma, another example of how outsourcing production leads to a major drop in quality. No amount of "cheeky" slogans and Rolling Stones rip-off logos can make up for bad tasting food.

I finally had the chance to visit Bono Cafe today, and it exceeded every expectation. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted by the incredible aroma of freshly brewed coffee and a very warm, welcoming atmosphere. I ordered the Americano and a Latte, and both were exceptional. You can tell they use premium ingredients; the food was plated beautifully and tasted even better. The coffee was smooth, perfectly balanced, and served at the ideal temperature. It’s rare to find a spot that hits the mark on both the kitchen and the coffee bar so consistently. The staff is incredibly attentive without being intrusive, making the whole dining experience seamless. Whether you’re looking for a quiet breakfast spot or a place for a long lunch, Bono Cafe is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be making this a regular stop!

The place is quite big , enough seating area for a big family. The Ice-cream flavours are very innovative. At first I was confused but after tasting a few flavours I chose a subtle flavour which was perfect for my palate. loved the taste.. overall good place for family time

Bono Ice Cream Boutique in Cuffe Parade is a charming little spot that feels modern yet cozy, perfect for indulging in artisanal treats. The space is clean, inviting, and focused on the star of the show — their creative, ever-evolving ice cream menu. I tried the Sea Salt Chocolate and Salted Caramel ice creams, both of which were rich, smooth, and perfectly balanced in flavor. Along with that, I had a Vietnamese coffee, which paired perfectly. I was lucky to meet the co-owners too, who were incredibly sweet and welcoming. They shared how they constantly experiment with new flavors across ice creams, sorbets, and even vegan options. That explained why the Açai Berry Smoothie wasn’t available during my visit — but there were plenty of other exciting choices on offer. I’m really glad I stopped by, and I’ll definitely be returning since there’s always something new to discover here. A must-visit for ice cream lovers!
