Vishal Dadlani, born 21 January 1973 in Mumbai, is one half of the celebrated composer duo Vishal-Shekhar, known for scoring some of Bollywood's most memorable soundtracks.
A lifelong Mumbaikar, Dadlani built his career in the city, working across composing, singing, and television, including judging stints on Indian Idol.
His work with Vishal-Shekhar spans hits across Dostana, Bachna Ae Haseeno, and Chennai Express, while he is also recognised for his bold, distinctive singing voice on tracks like Bhaag D.K. Bose.
