Ranbir Kapoor, born on 28 September 1982 in Mumbai, is the son of Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh and a scion of the legendary Kapoor film family. He trained at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York before making his Bollywood debut.
With films like Rockstar, Barfi!, Tamasha and Sanju, Ranbir has established himself as one of the most critically acclaimed actors of his generation — known for bringing raw intensity and emotional depth to every role.
In 2022 he married actress Alia Bhatt, and together they have a daughter, Raha. His performance in Animal (2023) marked a new, darker direction in his career and became one of the highest-grossing films of the year.
