I am extremely disappointed with the unprofessional and unacceptable behavior displayed by the restaurant owner. The restaurant was listed as open and available for walk-in payment through the app. I made the payment via Zomato, and the transaction was successfully completed. However, despite the successful payment, the restaurant owner outright refused to accept it. Initially, he claimed that their service with Zomato had been terminated. Later, he changed his statement and said that Zomato payments are only accepted when there is a pre-booking. This contradictory explanation clearly shows a lack of transparency and professionalism. Moreover, his tone was rude, disrespectful, and highly inappropriate. As a paying customer, I expect clear communication and basic courtesy. I had to escalate the matter to Zomato customer service, and only after their intervention did he finally accept the payment. Such behavior is unacceptable. The owner seriously needs to learn how to communicate with customers in a professional and respectful manner. This kind of conduct damages customer trust and reflects very poorly on the establishment.
