We purchased sugar-free dry fruit mithai from Hira Store. After bringing it home, we found white-colored worms in the sweets. Each piece had 2–3 worms in it. The most shocking part was that the mithai was sealed in plastic packaging, yet still contaminated. Before buying, we specifically asked the staff whether the mithai was fresh, and the shop owner very sweetly assured us that it was fresh and asked us to go to the 1st floor. However, the quality was extremely poor. When we went back to complain, they initially refused to give any compensation or penalty. Later, the owner started speaking very rudely to us. What was more disappointing was that they were not at all shocked after hearing about the worms, as if this was a common issue. It felt like they just wanted to end the matter quickly so that other customers in the shop would not notice. After consuming the mithai, some members of our family suffered from stomach problems within one day. I strongly advise everyone to ask proper questions before buying any sweets or products from this store, and if you do buy, check the product thoroughly before consuming. Very disappointing and unacceptable experience.
