Visited Taste of Konkan in Borivali and had a wonderful experience. We tried the Kolhapuri Mutton Thali, Surmai Fish Thali and Stuffed Bombil Fry and every dish was packed with authentic flavours. The mutton was perfectly cooked with a rich, spicy gravy, while the Surmai was fresh and served in a generous portion. The Stuffed Bombil Fry was crispy and absolutely delicious. The ambience was warm and welcoming, making the overall dining experience even better. Definitely a great place for anyone looking to enjoy authentic Konkani food in Mumbai!

I was disappointed with my experience. We ordered the Surmai Thali, but the fish did not seem fresh. The food lacked the authentic Kokan taste and flavors that we were expecting. Considering the quality and taste of the food, the prices are on the higher side and do not offer good value for money. Overall, the meal did not meet our expectations. I hope the restaurant improves the quality, freshness, and taste of its food.

Our family has enjoyed dinner here. Authentic kokani taste. Wada, bhakari, modak, chicken, kala vatanyachi usal everything was tasty. Place is nice and since it was Thursday it was less crowded as people think kokani food means nonveg only. Ambience is good, interior is good well decorated. Wash room is clean but very small and entering inside washroom will be difficult for an oversized person so management should do something about it, also the flash tank does not get filled quickly after someone use washroom.

Ambiance: Simple, soothing, with both indoor and outdoor sitting. Located at Babhai Naka, Borivali. Our experience: We went in for dinner on a weekday. The place was largely empty and quiet. Took them 20 mins to take our first order despite having only 4 tables being served including ours. We ordered the following dishes: โข Bombil Fry: The coating was way too thicker and the bombil hardly present. Could barely taste the bombil. โข Prawn koliwada: Again the coating overpowered the flavor of prawns. โข Bangda Thali and Ravas thali: Both thalis were exactly the same with the same fish curry, a tiny serving of prawn preparation, another tiny serving of matki usal in one thali and another random gravy in the bangda thalis. We weren't asked about our preferences for wada, chapati or bhakri. So one thali came with wadas, the other with chapati and on placing the order the third, we were asked about our preference for chapati or bhakri then informed bhakri is probabaly over. So we okayed chapati but were served wadas. We also ordered another plate of extra chapati which they didnt have and offered wadas but none reached our table even after 2 reminders. Finally we finished our meals and then asked for the bill which had the extra cost of wadas which we ordered and never recieved and also for the wada in thali which we weren't informed were charged extra but were given as they didnt have chapatis or bhakris. They did change the bill on being informed. We also asked for regular water which we recieved almost at the end of the meal after being reminded for the fifth time. Service: Slow, and confused even when there were just 2-3 tables with people only. While we understand it was end if the day and hence the food there was over and also probably that is why there were many errors & delays in service. But the overall experience and food were not upto the mark or hype.

Today I went to this hotel with my family for a dinner. The hotel's name is only Taste of Konkan, but there is no taste of Konkan anywhere. I'm from Konkan. So don't fool people by talking about the taste of Konkan. The chicken thali only had the taste of Elaichi and nothing else. Same with Prawns thali too. Bombil Bhaji was of a lower standard than Onion Bhaji.
