Last year, in June 2024, I bought my TYBCom textbooks from Ujwal Book Depot in Bhayandar East. At that time, they told me I would get 40% of the amount refunded if I returned the books in June 2025. Now, in June 2025, I went back with my books, which are in perfect condition, but their shop is closed. Their landline is dead, the number listed on Google Maps doesn’t work, and they don’t even bother to pick up the phone. So basically, they aren’t following the procedure they promised at all! And last year, when I asked them for a Direct Tax book for 2024, they gave me a 2023 edition, claiming it was “new.” I didn’t realize it at first, but when I showed it to my teacher, she pointed out it was the wrong edition. When I went back to return it, they started arguing, saying, “You only asked for a new book, not a specific year.” What kind of nonsense is that? Just because a student asks for a new book, does that give them the right to hand over an outdated edition? Their attitude and behavior were pathetic — they don’t even know how to talk to customers properly. Worst experience ever!
