Ruined Evening – Terrible Service & Absolute Lack of Basic Etiquette Rating: 1/5 stars We had an incredibly frustrating experience at Pop Tate's. While the food was okay, the service was outright appalling and completely ruined our evening. We arrived when the restaurant was busy, but even after it emptied out, we ended up sitting there for almost three hours due to pure negligence. The Food and the Missing Ingredients: We ordered the jalapeno cheese balls, but they were served completely missing the jalapeno. When we pointed this out, the server offered to replace it with an avocado alternative... which never even arrived. The 1-Hour Delay & Lazy Excuses: I had to follow up with our server three times about our order. After waiting for over an hour, the server's explanation was that the KOT (Kitchen Order Ticket) hadn't printed in the kitchen. What makes this unacceptable is that the server lacked the basic courtesy to check on the delay or inform us beforehand. I eventually had to ask a completely different server just to find out what was happening, and nobody seemed to have a clue. This is exceptionally poor etiquette from the service team. Frustrating "Apology": At the end of the night, the head server came over with a complimentary pastry to apologize. We politely declined, explaining that the team had already ruined our evening and that they needed to train their staff to pay attention to tables and anticipate guest needs. Instead of listening, the server didn't even apologize verbally and simply brought the pastry again after we had already denied it. This just added to our frustration. Final Verdict: Throughout the night, the servers were completely preoccupied chit-chatting with each other instead of managing their tables. I highlighted this directly to the head server. This branch desperately needs strong, strict supervision and heavy retraining for its staff. I sincerely hope management takes this seriously and improves in the near future, but as of now, I cannot recommend this place.
