The nursing staff is very cooperative & attentive, takes proper care of patients. Medicines and treatments are given on time and the overall care is well managed... The hospital maintains excellent cleanliness which is very important....

Hiii, I want to expose the unethical and exploitative behavior at SBS Hospital, specifically by Dr. Shagufta and receptionist Preeti Sathe. We trusted this hospital and paid ₹30,000 for a biopsy and ₹14,800 for a second visit—without any negotiation. Later, for a daycare diagnosis (normally ₹3,350 for 24 hours), we negotiated ₹2,500 since we only needed 7–8 hours and this procedure had to be repeated multiple times. The first session went fine. But during the second visit, Dr. Shagufta casually added a condition that extra charges would apply if the stay extended. Despite ZERO complications and a smooth procedure, at discharge we were suddenly asked to pay ₹1,000 extra for just 2 hours—₹500 per hour, which is absurd when the full-day charge is ₹3,350. We tried to reason politely, but were completely ignored. Dr. Shagufta refused to even speak to us. We were put in a helpless position because my father was admitted and we couldn’t escalate. Under pressure, I agreed to pay ₹1,000. But while we were still discussing, they shamelessly increased the demand to ₹1,500 just because more time had passed during the argument. This is nothing but daylight extortion. Let’s be clear—this is not about ₹1,000 or ₹1,500. This is about exploiting patients and their families when they are most vulnerable. They even refused to discharge my father until the payment was made. What else should this be called if not harassment and coercion? If they knew the procedure could take longer, why set misleading expectations and then trap patients into paying more? This behavior is unacceptable and disgraceful. I must also mention that the nursing staff and internal doctors were supportive and seemed uncomfortable with what was happening. The issue lies specifically with Dr. Shagufta and Preeti Sathe. People deserve transparency and fairness in healthcare—not manipulation and pressure tactics.
